Møgeltonder

 

The village of Møgeltonder was inhabited as far back as the ice age. Count Schack built Schloss Schackenborg in 1662 on the site of the earlier Møgeltønderhus castle. Schackenborg was the first schloss in South Jutland to be built in the baroque style. Today Schackenborg is a successful agricultural holding run by Prince Joachim.
