Bredebro - Trøjborg Castle ruins

 

Peter Ratzau was granted the castle in gratitude for his service in the wars against Sweden. Parts of the southern wall, the foundations, the cellar and the castle ruins remain standing, surrounded by the old fortification ditch. The Au Brede Å is a paradise for anglers, offering excellent trout water in a wonderful landscape.
