The Kitesurf Cup on Sylt takes place from 26 June to 1 July this year. The world’s best kitesurfers will come to Sylt on these days to measure up against one another in the disciplines of wind slalom, best trick and big air - in each case in both the new-school and old-school style.
The Kitesurf Cup Sylt is the only large-scale Global Kite Team Challenge event in Germany, and attracts top athletes from around the world to Westerland. Germany's kitesurfing elite will of course also be in attendance, and will celebrate the opening of the German championship series with the event. Important world ranking points are up for grabs in the course racing.
As always, the Kitesurf Cup is not only of interest to the athletes, but also for fans and spectators. Alongside the top-class sport in the groundswell in front of Westerland, a catering and event mile is also constructed on the promenade, where for six days a vast array of food and drink are on offer, plus of course a great deal of fun, action and partying.
